I started listening to Rob Bell’s podcast several months before I read this book. He is a very gifted teacher and has some fresh views on what God’s church is called to be. Velvet Elvis gives a fresh perspective on what a Christian should look like in our contemporary culture.
This book really made me rethink how I relate to those outside of my church family, specifically my co-workers. I would recommend it for anyone who thinks that the Christian life doesn’t have any significance in today’s culture.
