Today . . .

flag2Yesterday, there were 5 million orphans in Ethiopia, but TODAY THERE IS ONE LESS!

We passed court!

And now Josiah has a mommy, and a daddy, and a big brother, and four grandparents, and six aunts and uncles, and three first-cousins, and seven great-grandparents, and 20 great-aunts and uncles, and more second- and third-cousins than I can count, and hundreds and hundreds of friends waiting to love him! Yesterday he was an orphan, but TODAY HE HAS A FAMILY!

And yesterday we were a family of three, but today we are a family of FOUR! Yesterday we had one son, and today we have TWO!

Praise God!! We are so thankful! We are overwhelmed by His goodness and mercy and faithfulness to us! Thank you for your prayers!

We are still waiting for our travel dates, but we will be leaving in the next few weeks to bring our son home!

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” John 14:18

How awesome that there is “one less orphan” today because of you guys and because of God who planted this desire in you both and is seeing it through so mightily. Josiah will have such a great story to hear one of these days. We love you all and can’t wait to meet the newest “Picker”.

Oh how wonderfully God answers our prayers. Now I am waiting on one more great grandson (Allan and Lindsey’s) I can hardly wait to get down to see them. I hope I will be able to travel. Please pray that I will be able to travel soon. I am so anxious to hold Josiah, what a blessed baby he is to grow up in a devoted Christian home, full of love. I pray your travel plans will come through soon.

I love you all very much.

We just got home yesterday from our 9 weeks Sojourn trip. We worked at one children’s home, one home for mental handicapped adults, and one youth camp. But what wonderful news when we opened our e-mail and read that we have a new addition to our big wonderful extended family. We have been praying for this great news, and God has answered our prayers. Now, we continue to pray that all will go smoothly for the trip to pick up little Josiah. I know you will want to spend some special time getting him setled in when you get back home. And especially letting Caleb get acquainted with his new baby brother. But as soon as possible, we want to come see him. We love all of you and thank God for every good blessing!
