Big News . . .

Posted by Mary Beth on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

We’ve been waiting for weeks to share our big news, and the time has finally come. After tons of prayer and thought, and sharing and praying with the people closest to us, we have decided to adopt a baby boy from Ethiopia.
Ever since I went with my parents to adopt my little [...]

Caleb the Worship Leader

Posted by Mary Beth on Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Caleb is crazy about all kinds of music, he loves to play his guitar and drum. If there were a Guitar Hero or Rock Band game for toddlers, he would be a pro. But his favorite music is worship music. He runs around the house singing worship songs all day, and he [...]

Our Family Mission

Posted by Casey on Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Mary Beth and I sat down last night to design our Family Mission Statement together. It took us a while to come up with an idea, but Mary Beth was the one who decided to use verbs to define how we wanted our family to be. We both sat at the computer for [...]

One Step at a Time

Caleb is a late walker; he’s almost fifteen months old, and he has just decided that he is interested in taking some steps. He comes by it naturally though; his Granddad was also a late walker, so I’m told, and he turned out to be a brilliant physician, so we’re not too worried.
Caleb became more interested in walking when my parents were at our house last weekend. He really likes to perform in front of a big crowd; evidently one cheering mommy does not compare to a roomful of relatives. Click below to watch a video of him taking a few steps.

Way to go Caleb!! We knew it would be soon. Cammie is starting to show some interest in walking. Maybe they will be walking together in Hilton Head. We are proud of you, Caleb!!

  2. Regina Says:

Yea for Caleb!! That’s exciting! Thanks for sharing the video with me.

  3. Grandad Says:

Thanks for the video! Reminds me of when I tried the skim board at the beach last summer. We’re proud of you, Caleb.

Way to go Caleb! Don’t worry man… I still have trouble walking every once in a while. You should just have Mom and Dad teach you how to ride on Boo… problem solved, ha.

Rauly was a late walker and we think she’s brilliant despite that fact - Caleb will be too!! :) I love how he kept trying…those diapers come to good use when kiddo’s are learning to walk - I’m sure Caleb’s rear-end appreciated a little extra padding to plop down on.

  6. GAB Says:

    Caleb,
You are doing great! Determination goes a long way and it looks like you are determined to get up and go! We love seeing all of the neat things you are learning do! We love you, sweet boy! GAB and GUM

Hey! Yes I remember both of you from HU! Caleb is so cute, maybe he and Kate will be at Harding together one day. I had fun looking at your pictures, my family went to church w/ the Jones’ when we lived in VA. Small world!

Mema and Papa are proud of you. You sure do a good job of getting up in the middle of the floor, without anything to hang on to. Probably by now you are really taking off. Love, you Caleb. Thanks so much, Mary Beth for the video, we appreciate all the pictures, so we can keep up with your growth and the new things you are learning. Love you too, Mary Beth and Casey. We are looking forward to the next time we get to see the three of you.

Hey Mary Beth, I’m trying to set down some playdates for the time that I’ll be in LR and wanted to check and see if August the 17th (that’s a Friday) would work for you…most likely in the morning? Let me know! :)
