Two Problems

Posted by Mary Beth on Monday, January 18th, 2010

So we’re finally settling in from our recent move over here at the Picker House.  We are feeling very happy and very blessed.   We love our new house; we have lots of room, lots of yard space, and even more toys.  In fact, there’s another thing we have lots of around here:  BOYS. BOY [...]

REFERRAL!!!

Posted by Mary Beth on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

We are overwhelmed, blessed, and absolutely overjoyed to announce that we have received our referral! Monday evening, I got a call from Holt telling us that they had a baby boy waiting for us. He is 2 1/2 months old and itty bitty, but absolutely precious! My arms are already aching for him! I got [...]

Big News . . .

Posted by Mary Beth on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

We’ve been waiting for weeks to share our big news, and the time has finally come. After tons of prayer and thought, and sharing and praying with the people closest to us, we have decided to adopt a baby boy from Ethiopia. Ever since I went with my parents to adopt my little sister from [...]

No More Motorcycles!

We went to see my parents in Atlanta and they both look great! Mary Beth made a little onesie for Caleb that got the message across: “We love you, but no more motorcycles.”

The Back

The Back

When we pulled up to their house, my dad and grandpa were sitting out in the front yard in lawn chairs! I was extremely amazed at how well both of them are doing. The Lord has truly answered many of our prayers. Thanks again to everyone for praying, sending flowers, and cards. They really made my parents feel loved and cared for.

Mary Beth You are a very clever lady to have made the cute "NO Motorcycle onesie" Tell Kurt and Roxy we send our love and are still praying for their recovery.

I am sorry to hear that Roxy. We have been praying for y'all daily as has our Church family http://www.gravettecoc.com/ and everyone in my motorcycle family, Arkansas HareScramble Championship Series http://www.ahscs.com. We always list anyone who has been injured or has a prayer concern and ask for prayers. Y'all have been lifted up by a lot of guys and gals you will probably never meet. We love you guys very much and know that God is always with you. We have a spiritual side section on our message board and I had posted before your deer hunt about the impact Kurt has had on my life. So when I asked for prayers many people responded that they keep y'all in their prayers. I ran into Paul Carter at lunch the Monday after and he asked how y'all were doing. The people from work I was with were amazed at how he knew so quickly when I had just told them that morning. The prayer network around the world has been lifting you up and I know God is hearing them. I will continue to pray for a quick recovery.

    Love from your little brother

    Roxy,
I was so sorry to hear about the setbacks that you and Kurt are both experiencing. As for the hives, I know how miserable you probably have been...I have had that reaction before and it was very uncomfortable. I will keep you both in my prayers and I hope his nausea subsides.
    Love,
    Stephanie

P.S. Mary Beth is very creative! I loved the onesie!
  • Well, Kurt has had a little set back. He had vomitting and extreme weakness today. I am better after a rough night of hives & itching. I am allergic to the pain meds. After a trip to the ER last night I am much better. We are being well taken care of by Kurt\'s parents & our children. Keep Kurt especially in your prayers.

    Love,
    Roxy
