Summer Vacation
We got back home on Sunday from our summer vacation to Hilton Head Island, SC. It was so much fun! There was much time spent on the beach skimboarding and swimming. All of us guys even got a chance to go golfing a couple times during the week.
One of the courses we got to play at was Indigo Run. It is a very nice course, but one of the coolest things about this course was the fact that they had GPS-enabled course maps in every golf cart. This allowed us to see exactly how far away we were from the green at any given time. Being the techno-geek that I am, I was pretty fascinated by the whole thing.
Before this vacation, I had never been to the beach on the Atlantic coast. We normally travel down to Florida for the summer, but since the hurricane came earlier this summer we decided to mix it up a little bit. I was very impressed by the South Carolina beaches. They were very pretty and not very crowded. One of my favorite moments of the past week was going to the beach at night with Mary Beth and looking at the stars. We even got to see a shooting star!! We all had a wonderful time and hope to go back soon one day…
